Well worth taking 4 minutes out to watch this, especially if you think science can only be a cold, unromantic pursuit.

This video pops up every 6 months or so, and I love it. It appears to be some sort of variety show, where in this case the guests have set up a Rube Goldberg-esqe contraption to prepare noodles.
Whenever someone uses a bowling ball moving at reasonable speed in one of these things I get a little nervous, and a little excited, but so far I haven't seen one bust loose.

Detroit Robocop Statue - To Uphold The Awesome

When I spotted this yesterday on Kickstarter I thought to myself "Yup, there's no way that's not getting funded". It didn't take long at all for the proposition to build a statue of Robocop in Detroit to get the funding it needs, just goes to show you can get all kinds of crazy shit done when you capture the imagination of the geeks.
